B. Free Drops New Visual for ‘Free 2 Fly’

As social medial continues to catapult artists to fame, the ability to transform into the next generational super star appears effortless. Accessibility increases, quality decreases, and consumers are often left with a heap of talentless artists with simple 808’s and a large social following.

But thank God for creatives such as B. Free – artists that take their time to invest in talent and the visuals paired with it.

I’ve watched Bryan work relentlessly to manifest the future he see’s for himself. The ideas he conjures in his mind are far-fetched, but he believes he can attain each of them. Self-taught, he is the true definition of a limitless creative, investing in tools, equipment and study materials to transform his dreams into reality.

We crossed paths almost two years ago. I had no idea we’d develop a friendship based off our desires to create.

After visiting an apartment with a fellow Morehouse brother, I was introduced to Free’s basement. He wasn’t home at the time, but he and his friend were in the process of painting the basement walls a vibrant green. My old class mate explained this would be a full studio, a green room. In the midst of all the rubbish and unexplained items I couldn’t see the vision. I respected the vision, but I couldn’t visualize it entirely.

Two years later I reached out to B. Free about shooting a promotional video. I had some extra cash and was ready to invest in a small project. He sent me the address and I arrived with my best friend in tow. Once I walked inside the apartment I remembered the location. I was guided down to the basement area and there it was: a studio equipped with a full functioning green room. The task they began roughly two years ago was complete and B. Free was using the space to his full advantage. He shot and edited the visual for “Smack That Ass” – a fun, fiery song reminiscent of 90’s MC Hammer meets Too $hort dance vibes.

If positivity, manifestation and ratchetness are what you’re in to, check out the full video for ‘Free 2 Fly’ below! Shot in Medellin, Columbia, Belize and Puerto Rico the budget looks big and the butts and boobs are bigger. Place your comments below in the space provided.
