5 Year Old Egypt Produces Beat for Kendrick Lamar

Beat makers around the world are raving (and hating) about the talents of a privileged five year old named Egypt. Privileged because he’s the son of long time musical influencers Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys. The five year old’s ability to beat make are displayed on Kendrick Lamar’s latest project, Untitled Unmastered.

Kendrick has battled with the idea of compiling each of his untitled tracks into an album. But after demands from fans, often expressing their desire for such music via social media, he recently released his untitled work to the world. Kendrick dropped an 8-track project in the wee hours of the night, disrupting Instagram feeds and twitter timelines alike. Swizz’s son produced the 7th track of the project.

Each of these songs have been locked away in a musical treasure box, just waiting for their highly anticipated moments of fame. Kendrick has stated he’s in love with each of these tracks, but due to clearances and deadlines, they were unable to make the cut for his third studio album To Pimp a Butterfly. They instead were performed during a number of his performances, creating speculation around the tracks, and perplexing a thirsty fan base who wanted more.

Are Egypt’s talents credible? Is he only receiving fame and opportunity given his familial relationships? Check out Swizz’s Instagram posts to grab an inside look into his son’s creative process. And don’t forget to leave your comments in the space provided.
