Brett Favre won’t be considered for the NFL Hall of Fame until the year 2016. But his induction into the Packers Hall of Fame, and the retirement of his No. 4 jersey, will come in 2015. The Green Bay Packers will confirm this news Monday during a press related conference.

This celebratory moment comes almost six years to the day the Packers traded Favre to the New York Jets. The infamous trade is known for its lengthy duration and chaotic publicity, but it’s obvious the two parties have found common ground. The decision to induct Favre into the Packers Hall of Fame has been in negotiation for 6 months.

Packers president Mark Murphy has shared words with Favre concerning the decision, and the team is in support.
